National Night Out is something our neighborhood looks forward to every summer thanks to the Winklesky family! They host a HUGE picnic complete with kids games and prizes!! They provide the BBQ and everyone in the neighborhood brings a dish to share. It's a great time to connect with people you may only wave to every other day of the year! If you are planning an event, the City of Duluth would like you to register it with them.
I've waited a while to do my review of the BedRug liner I had installed at Radco because I wanted to give you an honest assessment. I needed to use it for a while. After a couple of months, I couldn't' be happier. I was a skeptic about a carpet bed liner, but let me assure you. It's fantastic.
Ken and I took the B105 Breakfast Club on the road to the Grand Opening of Dunkin' Donuts on Central Entrance. We expected lots of people to stop by and buy lots of donuts, but didn't expect THIS. Public Information Officer Ron Tinsley from the Duluth Police Department stopped and proved that cops do LIKE donuts!
I have blogged about free dental clinics available to you before, but it was usually geared towards children. This month, the Minnesota Dental Association will be bringing a free dental clinic open to all ages in Duluth.
We've really enjoyed watching "The Island" on Monday nights, and last night was the finale. You learn to have your favorites during the show, and people that you root for. Well we found out who made it all 28 days surviving on the island.
Of course you know Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, American Idol, and pretty much just being a staple in rock for 40 years. Now he's released a country album, and we get our first taste with his country song "Love Is Your Name."
I am going to be in my element when we broadcast live from Dunkin' Donuts 7-9a Tuesday morning. Besides delicious donuts (as you know, my favorite), it's our chance to see you face-to-face. It's the Grand Opening Celebration and a special day for the Northern Lights Foundation.
This is pretty sad. 14 freshly planted trees were destroyed in the area of 12th Street and Hughitt Avenue in Superior over the weekend. The Superior Police department is asking for help with any information that could identify who is responsible for this senseless crime.
