It was cold and VERY windy, so we didn't get a chance to build a fire, but our next time out, you can bet we're going to build our campfire and make campfire cones. This is guaranteed to "spark" family memories to talk about around the Thanksgiving table for years to come.

But, they performed it together live on stage at a Hollywood party and I think this version is better. Better lighting and better sounding. 1 week ago I've owned a motorcycle now for 10 years. In the last few years with the gas prices soaring I've told myself every spring that I'm going to ride to work no matter what to save money on gas. My truck gets 13 mpg in town, my bike gets 55+ mpg. It's a no brainer, taking the bike. Eventually, every year I get lazy and instead of taking the time to put on rain gear or warmer clothing, I hop in the truck. NOT THIS YEAR. Here's my challenge:
1 week ago It's spring! We're starting to see buds on the trees and the grass is greening up (our neighbor has mowed his lawn twice already....he's retired). But, with the sure signs of summer around the corner also comes weeds! With the weeds, questions. How do I get rid of them? Will they come back? How long until it's safe for my pets to walk on the lawn again?!?! If you use this inexpensive concoction of things you already have in the house, it will be safe AND cost effective.

My friend Jackie has her tomatoes and strawberry plants already started in a cute little greenhouse on her deck. Inside her home she has fresh herbs that will be replanted and moved outside eventually. I am in awe of her gardening knowledge! 2 weeks ago Kellie Pickler and partner Derek Hough tried to please Len this week with a more traditional Argentine Tango, and it worked. She was perfect and scored her first 30 of the season. Of course, the competition scored tight with Jacoby, Aly and Zendaya also getting 30's. Check out some of the dances here.

This week is National Pet Week, which happens to coincide with "Be Kind To Animals" week. Our family has a cat, which you've probably heard me complain about periodically. Cathy's family has two dogs, one being a brand new puppy. (You've probably heard her complain about the puppy too.) But we both love our pets, and wanted to take a poll of our listeners and to see if we have more "cat people" or "dog people.
