I've been getting a little frustrated lately. I'm sure I will come under attack by people who support Phil Robertson that don't listen to what I'm saying. First, I 100% believe Phil should be able to express whatever views and beliefs he has under the protection of the 1st amendment. That being said, I 100% believe that A&E has every right by law to suspend him. That's what the first amendment is all about... laws.
My co-host Ken Hayes has a new baby girl in their household, Jane. From experience, I know that most visitors to his home want to meet the new baby and hold her. He also has a five year old and I was afraid he might be feeling left out. Last night we went for a visit and I brought the materials needed for this easy DIY craft idea so just Zach and I could have some one-on-one time and he could make gifts for his teachers.
In an effort to provide a safer community the Duluth Police Department launched tip411. It's an internet based tool that will allow the public to text message "tips" to the police. The individual sending the message will remain anonymous and the police will be able to respond thus creating a two way chat.
I've been keeping my eye out for a good deal on a portable ice house for a while. This last weekend provided me a chance to get to see some ice houses first hand at the Ice Fishing Show at the DECC. After looking around, and weighing options and price, I purchased a Fatfish 949.
Well we both are still here, which means neither of us won the Mega Millions Jackpot. The numbers were 8,14,17,20,39, and mega ball 7. There were two winners, one in San Jose, California, and the other in Atlanta, Georgia.
We love surveys, it's nice to see where we compare to everyone else. Well a new survey is out that scores the drivers of individual States in America. How did we do? If you're a Minnesota resident, congratulations.
The Duluth Police Department is asking the public for help locating the Property Crimes Person of the Week. It has been very beneficial in the past to share the picture and information on social media and has lead to several arrests. Can you help this week?
As the holidays draw near, we begin to think about end-of-the-year tasks that need to be completed. One thing we overlook is licensing our pets. I lived in the country most of my life, so moving to Duluth was a culture shock where pets are concerned. My dogs are now on a leash in the yard for safety concerns, theirs and that of people passing by. Now, I have to license my dog, something I never had to do before. There is a new licensing structure in the City of Duluth you should be aware of.
