I was walking through Walmart in Superior the other day when I came near the sporting goods section and saw an end cap of an aisle with boxes of firewood. On it, they said 'Premium Natural Firewood.' $3.00 for .75 cubic feet. Are people buying this?

March 12, 2013 Mountains, so majestic and beautiful to some, yet thrilling and dangerous to others. I would never have the upper body strength to do mountain climbing, so I appreciate when these athletic souls wear a helmet cam that allows me to experience what I otherwise couldn't. However, when something like this happens, it takes my breath away. I realized I had held my breath through this man's terrifying fall caught on camera.

I realize that during the construction period it can be frustrating with delays and travel inconveniences, but if you are aware of the detours ahead of time that frustration can be avoided. If you're around my age, you probably once wished for a pair of HASH jeans. I begged my mother for TWO years, before I finally got a pair of dark brown HASH cords (corduroy). HASH jeans fit most people really well, they had bell bottoms, a double star design and the letters HASH stitched in gold on the back pocket. Remember? Did you own a pair?
March 8, 2013 When my daughter Kylee was growing up, I remember having to come up with creative ideas for her Friday meals during Lent. When I saw this Taste of Home recipe for Tuna 'n' Pea Casserole, I immediately thought, "I could serve THAT on Friday". March 5, 2013 I'll be honest with you. There are days when I feel like I haven't really done any good after a day of work. Maybe I did my job well that day and got a lot done, but what really have I done that's impacted anyone else? I'm not a doctor, school teacher, or counselor. When it comes down to it, I'm an entertainer. I crack jokes, play music, occasionally pass on important information, etc... but I don't really better the world in a significant way each day. Luckily, from time to time each year, I can feel like I've done something by supporting St. Jude.
