This past Tuesday, May 21st, Duluth Police officers and investigators with the Lake Superior Drug & Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2800 block of West 2nd Street. This warrant was part of an on-going heroin trafficking investigation. Four people were arrested, but their job is far from over. My father died when I was seven, my mom passed in 2000 and at the time I told her I would continue her tradition of fresh flowers in the cemetery basket for her and dad. As I put that into prospective, she drove past the cemetery every day to work and it was easy for her to stop and water the plants in the cemetery basket. I rarely pass by the cemetery now that I am not living in the area and that makes a basket of live flowers nearly impossible. I'm sure my parents understands, but that lead me to research what to use instead of a cemetery basket.

A few years ago, when Star Trek was rebooted with JJ Abrams at the helm, I was very cautious. I worried that they wouldn't do the series justice with a new, younger cast. My fears were quickly calmed after watching the first Star Trek movie with Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, etc. Now, after watching Star Trek Into Darkness, I am thoroughly impressed with what they have done.
