August 31, 2012 I have been to Hawk's Ridge in Duluth, but have never witnessed the hawk's migration. I have heard that it is amazing. If you are a bird enthusiast/watcher or nature lover, this is one event that you should attend. We are lucky that this phenomenon happens in our backyard!

August 27, 2012 Last weekend I went fishing at a friend's cabin where we always catch northern pike. From a very young age, I was always told that Northern's weren't good eating fish. My friend's family showed me the trick into fileting a northern. It's all about getting those Y Bones out. It's not that hard!

When we see a pooch chase its tail, we tend to just dismiss it as a dog being a dog. But there appears to be more to this illogical canine behavior, as researchers from Finland have been able to link it to obsessive-compulsive disorder.

July 27, 2012 Tori the smoking Orangutan has been sent away from her fellow primates and zoo goers so she can kick the habit. In this Indonesian zoo, people have been throwing lit cigarettes into her cage for her to smoke. They've been photographing her chain smoke for years. Zoo officials says she's been smoking for at least a decade. (She's now 15.)
