Carrie Underwood has mastered the art of tear-jerking songs, but never before has one of her music videos been as personal as the touching family montage that is her "What I Never Knew I Always Wanted" video. Readers can press play above to watch the clip, which features emotional scenes from Underwood's wedding to former NHL player Mike Fisher, the birth and early months of her baby boy Isaiah and more.

"What I Never Knew I Always Wanted" comes from Underwood's 2015 album Storyteller, and the lyrics tell the story of an unintended happy ending: "Life has a way of showing you just what you need and who you were made to be / I finally found what I never knew I always wanted / I couldn't see / I was blind til my eyes were opened ..."

In the "What I Never Knew I Always Wanted" music video -- which Underwood originally shared as she sang the song on her 2016 Storyteller Tour -- black-and-white images of personal moments between Underwood and Fisher accompany the song's sweet lyrics. Fans will see the singer while she's pregnant with her son, a sonogram of Isaiah in utero and pictures of him in his early months; Underwood's canine family members even make an appearance in the montage. The video ends on an image of Isaiah, held on either side by his parents, sporting a "Fisher" hockey jersey with his dad's number, 12, emblazoned on it.

Underwood has been laying low since the start of 2017 for the most part. In November, she returned to co-host the 2017 CMA Awards with Brad Paisley; two days later,  Underwood broke her wrist in a fall outside of her Nashville home.
