Carrie Underwood fans, rest assured. The ‘Before He Cheats’ singer has not let married bliss come in the way of her music career. Underwood promises that she will be touring like a “mad woman” and dropping a new album in 2012 (with a release date yet to be announced), the follow-up to 2009′s ‘Play On.’

“There’s no written-in-stone date to announce yet, but I would imagine I will be touring like a mad woman in 2012!” Underwood tells StyleList, insinuating that she will hit the road next year to push a new album, which should also drop some time in the new year.

As for her home life, Underwood reveals that life with her Nashville Predators husband Mike Fisher is great and that the two are enjoying their second year of marriage: “Married life is great! Mike is so supportive! And I love to watch him play hockey! It’s fun to have someone in your life that is there for you no matter what. We have fun together! He’s my Prince Charming!”

Now that the two-time ACM Entertainer of the Year has a few new things to write about, she should have no trouble putting out a new album in 2012. Underwood explained that compared to other artists, she’s able to relate to her own music the easiest. “Especially the songs that I write. I choose songs based on how they make me feel … and then I hope there are enough people in the world who are like me that will like it too!” she says. “Writing makes the songs so much more personal.”
