According to a City of Duluth press release, the Minnesota Slip Bridge, also known to the locals as the "blue slip bridge" that connects Canal Park to the DECC and Vista Cruise Tours is back in service.  That didn't take long at all!

Previously the west side of the bridge was up to allow the sailboats and other marine traffic to continue to pass, but the east side was down due to cables jumping the spool.

After quick response from the contractor on Monday morning, it has been fixed. If the bridge should break during a large scale event, we'll be covered as they have a contractor on call for those situations.  The one-of-a-kind Slip Bridge has been plagued with unexpected repairs and closings, but thanks to Mayor Emily Larson, that will change soon.
