Bring the Kids to UMD Saturday to Meet the Vikings Cheerleaders and Excercise

If the cold weekend has you pursuing indoor options to keep your kids active, join the Young Athletes Foundation for Saturday Morning at the Races. Children ages 14 and under are invited to attend the first event in this youth race series, completely free of charge.

Saturday Morning at the Races follows a similar theme and format to the popular Wednesday Night at the Races series held each summer throughout the Twin Ports. This weekends event will take place on the track inside the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Ward Wells Field House.

This Saturday, January 9th, kids will have an opportunity to meet Minnesota Vikings mascot “Viktor” as well as members of the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders, UMD mascot “Champ”, and Duluth Huskies Mascot “Harley D. Huskie".

Registration is between 9:00 a.m. and 9:50 a.m., with races beginning promptly at 10 a.m. Participants will receive an official Saturday Morning at the Races T-shirt and post-race snacks, courtesy of YAF sponsors.
