Brett Favre Is Coming Back To The NFL

Gotcha! Well, he IS coming back to the NFL, just not as a player. The NFL network, as part of their 8 1/2 hour "way too much coverage" pre-game show has hired Brett Favre as an analyst.

According to the USA Today, Brett Says "I don't miss the grind and stress of day-to-day football, but I do miss my teammates and coaches" . He also said he's not ready to make it a permanent gig but, "I think being involved in the Super Bowl was too much to pass up."

The NFL network has said they have been trying to get him to come on in some fashion, but he hasn't because he wants to lend his talents to the show, not just be another person talking football. So, they all thought the Super Bowl would be the best place to start, he has experience and can talk about preparation for the game. He will be working along side Rich Eisen and former players Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner and Deion Sanders. Except for Rich, they all have Super Bowl Rings.

Interesting side note, Favre returns to the NFL in the city where he led the Green Bay Packers to a 35-21 victory against the New England Patriots in 1997 Super Bowl. As of now, he said he is not making a prediction who will win Super Bowl XLVII.

Favre makes his debut on NFL GameDay Morning, which begins at 9 a.m. ET Sunday.
