Have you been following the saga of the blue Minnesota slip bridge in the Canal Park area?  It's been under repair for a couple weeks and as of my walk around the DECC last evening, it is still inoperable.  At least it waited until the end of the season, we're very near closing the bridge for this year.

The City of Duluth Public Works & Utilities Department reports that the pedestrian bridge (also known as the Minnesota Slip Bridge) that crosses from Canal Park to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center will be closed for the 2015 boating season as of Monday, October 19.  Boats that are anchored in the Minnesota Slip should be removed by that date.  While I love our beautiful Fall weather and anticipate  A LITTLE bit of snow for the holidays, I look forward to the bridge reopening next May and the start of the 2016 season.
