Thank you to everyone who stopped by to welcome the new Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota's Retail Center in downtown Duluth during Sidewalk Days.  Some of the highlights included a ribbon cutting with the Duluth Chamber of Commerce, speeches by Mayor Emily Larson, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota President and CEO, Michael Guyette and the center's manager, Jeremy Hoglund.  Many visitors to the grand opening were also treated to the first of many classes with street yoga.

As we were anticipating the opening of the facility I was asked what they would sell there.  The best way I can describe it is they don't sell, but give piece of mind and answers.  The retail centers of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota are designed to help you with answers to your insurance and Medicare questions or better understanding of your benefits and claims.  Maybe you need health insurance and have put it off because it's complex and you don't know where to get your questions answered.  A team of experts are looking forward to your visit, face-to-face.

Another exciting aspect that I can't wait for is the health and wellness that the retail center will bring to our community.  Their are several upcoming classes that you and I will enjoy together from healthy eating with cooking classes to fun outdoor exercise that will get us "living fearlessly".  We experienced street yoga during the grand opening with the help of instructors from the Duluth YMCA.  I'll be sure and let you know when the next class is so you can join me.
