It's safe to say Emily Shackelton is having a good month! The Minnesota native was honored last week, along with newcomer Carly Pearce and mega-producer busbee, for their #1 hit 'Every Little Thing.'

The three wrote 'Thing' together and it went on to become one of the biggest songs of 2017. The tune skyrocketed to number one by the end of the year and marked the first time a female had topped the Country Airplay charts with a debut single since 2015. It also went gold, selling half a million copies.

Shackelton, one of the women behind it all, grew up in Biwabick, Minnesota. I spoke with her in December about everything, including the monster hit. (You can read our full interview here.)

Last week, just a few short months after the song hit the top of the charts, she and her famous companions were honored for the song at a big party in Nashville.

At the #1 celebration, Pearce thanked Shackelton and busbee for everything in an emotional speech before the trio took the stage to sing the tune together. You can watch the incredible performance here.

The songwriter told me it was a surreal week in Nashville and she is very grateful for it all. Here's to many more number ones!
