A few weeks ago we were amazed at the crime that was happening in our area.  Something that Northlanders are not use  to hearing about.  Then, things settled down.  But, as we start to kick off our holiday season and cooler weather hits, so does another crime that leaves us baffled at the changes happening in our city.

According to the Duluth Police Department, on Wednesday, November 28th, 2012 at 9:11 PM Duluth Police responded to an armed robbery at the Best Western Motel, 131 West Second Street.

They say the suspect entered the lobby and displayed a handgun to the female employee, demanding money.  This suspect was described as a white male in his 20’s.  He was 5’ 8” tall with a slender build.  At the time of the robbery he was wearing dark pants, a black hat, and a bandana.

The suspect was last seen leaving the motel parking lot on foot with a second suspect who was also a male, wearing dark clothing and having a bandana over his face.

This is an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
