Picking out the perfect Christmas tree is a holiday tradition for many. During the months of November and December, you can find people on every corner selling trees. The question is, where does one go to find the perfect tree? Here’s our list of some of the best places in the Twin Ports to find your tree.

Chub Lake Tree Farm

Chub Lake Tree Farm offers both trees and wreaths. Something unique about getting a tree from Chub Lake Tree Farm is that they partner with Trees for Troops, a program that helps in distributing Christmas trees to military families wherever they may be stationed.

Saginaw Trees & Wreaths

Saginaw Trees & Wreaths offers, as the name would suggest, both Christmas trees and wreaths. Trees of various types and sizes are offered to give you the perfect tree for you. This location is perfect for a family, group of friends, or even an individual who would like to cut your own tree down - giving you the complete Christmas tree harvest experience.

Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center

Boulder Lake offers a slightly different tree experience than the rest on this list. This is a one-day event that is scheduled this year for Saturday, December 3. This family-friendly event offers the chance to pick out and cut down your favorite tree as well as enjoy a bonfire, hot chocolate, and other fun. The event is from 10am to 4pm and proceeds benefit the Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center. The only requirement is that you do need to bring your own saw and tie-downs - and a mug for hot chocolate.

Johnson Christmas Trees

Johnson Christmas Trees is a family-owned seasonal business featuring green and flocked trees from Northern MN and WI for over 50 years. Something unique about Johnson Christmas Trees is that they are one of the few local outlets for beautiful flocked balsam and Norway pines.

Farmer Doug at Duluth Farmer’s Market

Duluth Farmer's Market offers fresh produce through the warm months, and you can get your Christmas trees and wreaths there as well! Hand pick your favorite from the selection grown and harvested using environmentally-friendly and sustainable methods.
