The weather this past year cooperated for families to get out and enjoy Bentleyville early!  I remember driving on I-35 and seeing HUGE back-ups on near Bentleyville.  I always thought there was a UMD hockey game or symphony performance and it was just the mass of people looking to enjoy the work of hundreds of volunteers making Bentleyville possible.

Bentleyville started in Esko with the Bentley family and proceeded to grow in interest and numbers steadily every year.  In December of 2012 Bentleyville announced it had an agreement with the City of Duluth to continue America’s largest FREE lighting display at Bayfront Park through this coming December. Of course that involves the time, talents and support of countless volunteers for set-up, to run the different activities every night within the display and tear down.   Most of the tear down is completed, but there is still a bit of clean up to do and therefore the call for volunteers goes out one more time.

On Wednesday, March 25 from noon to 4p they are asking for volunteers to come to Bayfront Festival Park to score the parking lot and pick up any garbage that may have been hidden by snow.

Garbage bags will be provided, but if you have a rake you're asked to bring that along.  I would also bring some work and disposable gloves too.

Thank you in advance for helping to wrap up an extremely successful Bentleyville season as we anticipate some amazing concerts at Bayfront this summer!
