Back in December, Duluth News Tribune reported Bent Paddle Brewing Co. had put in a request with Duluth's Alcohol, Gambling and Tobacco Commission to switch locations on their liquor license. This got tongues wagging on whether they were eyeing a move to a new location.

The license at the time was for the location at 1912 W. Michigan Street. They requested the license for a new location down the block at 1832 W. Michigan Street. It seems their wish was granted.

Now, the highly anticipated new taproom is official. The big grand opening will be held April 12th. The company recently announced the big news on their website.

The grand opening will take place over the course of a few dates, with a transition in place from the old taproom to the new one in Duluth's Lincoln Park district.

From April 6th to 8th, you can attend a variety of events to bid farewell to the old taproom. The events include a dance party and live music over the course of three days.

The Bent Paddle taprooms will be closed from April 9th through the 11th to get ready for the new taprooms.

The new taproom will be open for business the next day, Thursday, April 12th. From 5 to 10, you can get the first look at the new space. There will be beer (of course) with tours of the new system, food and live music.

Bent Paddle's co-founder writes, “We have put a lot of heart & soul into the design of our new taproom and though we are a bit sad to leave our original gathering space we are beyond excited to share our new taproom experience with all of our loyal paddlers on April 12th and beyond.”
