Ken Hayes

Hello, thanks for visiting my page! I've been here at B105 since 2007, and I've been a part of the Northland my whole life! I was born and raised on the Iron Range, and I've hopped around a few different parts of the country before returning to the Twin Ports where I call home. I love being close to the woods and the lakes where I can fish and hunt, and I think this is a great place for my wife and I to raise our kids. I love doing the Breakfast Club each morning with my co-host Cathy, and I thank you for waking up with us!

Check Out These New Self Healing Shooting Targets [VIDEO]

Let's face it.  Shooting a paper target gets old.  So unless you're on your own property shooting at pop cans or jars, there's not much else you can do.  I saw this in a store yesterday and picked one up.  I can't wait to try it.  Here's a cool video showing how they work!

Deadly Plane Crash in Taiwan Caught on Dashcam Video

This is pretty shocking.  A plane crashed in Taiwan and it was caught on a dashboard camera in a car.  It appears the plane falls out of the sky and crashes into the bridge that the car was driving on.  The death toll of the accident isn't clear yet as the numbers keep rising.

Ice Project in Superior Crumbles Down

The massive wall of ice at Barkers Island in Superior Wisconsin has crumbled down as of this morning.  The project was expected to reach 90 feet wide and 75 feet high by mid February.  There hasn't been comment yet on why the failure happened, but one could speculate that the odd weather temperature changes could have something to do with it.

5 Things I Learned Buying My First Handgun

I've owned guns since I was a teenager.  Mostly rifles, a few shotguns, and a hand me down .22 revolver.  I'd always wanted to buy a handgun for personal protection, and to bring to the range.  For a long time it was hard to justify spending hundreds of dollars on one, but the time finally came.  I was ready to start my search.

Do Yaktrax Work For Guys With Big Feet?

I recently purchased a pair of Yaktrax this winter.  My hope was they would help with footing while ice fishing.  I took a couple of spills last year, and there is no fun hauling your gear off the lake with a sprained knee.   I was a bit worried though if they would actually work as advertised, and more importantly would they actually fit my large feet.

Cathy Proves She is Too Light To Lower an Office Chair In a Hilarious Video

If you've been listening to the Breakfast Club Show recently, you've probably heard that I've been having some serious back pain.  This lead to a simple request I had for Cathy.  Every morning she raises my studio chair all the way to to to use it as a table.  I just asked her to lower it back down so I can sit without hurting my back.  Turns out she can't even lower it, and she demonstrates how hard it is in this hilarious video!
