In 2006, she graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in music business (with a minor in writing), and began her career as a public relations and marketing coordinator at Resonate Records. She has written for Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) Magazine, countrystandardtime.com and worked as a staff writer for Country Weekly Magazine for nearly three years.
