Hello, from a Northland girl born in Cloquet, raised in Wrenshall, and currently living in Duluth! I consider myself lucky to have been able to share my mornings and life with you since 1996. It's like audio Facebook. You're the reason getting up at 3am is totally worth it! I love hot buttered movie theater popcorn, the smell of a lake (especially if I’m fishing), and warm fuzzy blankets. I’m a lover, not a fighter, and yes it’s true, I get my hair cut on a weekly basis. Kudos to my family, Homie, Kylee, and my Schnauzer, Bauer for always being by my side. I appreciate that you wake up with the B105 Breakfast Club, read and share my blogs and most of all, your friendship through the years! Peace, love and hugs!

Review Of HooDoo Point Campground In Tower, MN
I recently officiated a wedding at Fortune Bay Casino. That's about 2 hours from our home in Duluth, so we decided to stay at a campground nearby and chose the HooDoo Point Campground. We had driven through it the year before and liked the sites right on the lake. After staying there for a weekend, here’s what we thought.
Behind The Scenes And In the Radar Dome At The National Weather Service In Duluth [VIDEO]
I'm use to educating people on the difference between a watch and warning when it comes to storms in the Northland, so when a special weather statement popped up on my phone, I had questions. Not only do I get my questions answered, but Carol from the National Weather Service at 5027 Miller Trunk Hwy in Duluth took us up in the Radar Dome (the big soccer ball in the sky on 53) to check out the ra
Huskies Pre-Game Warm-Up Includes Baseball And Beer
I've noticed that every new season the Duluth Huskies plans something new and exciting. This year they came up with an organic idea that will hit two groups of people and may open up a new world for both.
Review Of The New Crooked Pint Ale House In Duluth
There has been a plethora of restaurants that have opened up in the Northland and I had the opportunity to visit one of the latest, Crooked Pint Ale House at 1402 W Arrowhead Rd Suite 100 in Duluth. Here is my opinion on my first visit. (meaning there will be more).
Enter Lake Superior Zoo’s Photo Contest With Liberty, The Bald Eagle
I know we have a lot of talented casual photographers in the area, I see their fantastic work shared on Facebook all the time. June 20th was American Eagle Day and the Lake Superior Zoo is commemorating the day with a photo contest using their bald eagle, Liberty, which is nice, you don't have to go out and find a bald eagle to be your model.
Mother Asks For Return Of Missing Gravestone, No Questions Asked
Many of us have dealt with the loss of a loved one and know how very difficult it is. A Facebook share on a friend's page caught my eye and I knew I had to help get the word out to see if we could get the nearly 150 lb missing gravestone returned to the cemetery.
Don’t Let The Name Hulk Fool You, He’s A Sweet Pea
Our Animal Allies Pet of the Week may be big with a tough name, but don't let that fool you, he's so sweet! His name is Hulk and he is a beautiful Silver American Staffordshire Terrier. Just look at his beautiful markings! The poor little buddy ended up at Animal Allies because he was a stray from St. Louis County and is now looking for his loving forever home.
Has Your Child Ever Experienced Night Terror?
My daughter is 23 and as far as I know, she never experienced night terror. Like most children, she had her share of bad dreams now and then, but nothing that caused us concern. A Facebook friend, Anna brought night terror to my attention because she is asking if others have experienced this and what can be done about it. It isn't talked about much, can we help her?
Register Your Festivities For The 34th Annual National Night Out
National Night Out is something our neighborhood looks forward to every summer thanks to the Winklesky family! They host a HUGE picnic complete with kids games and prizes!! They provide the BBQ and everyone in the neighborhood brings a dish to share. It's a great time to connect with people you may only wave to every other day of the year! If you are planning an event, the City of Duluth would
Can You Believe It’s Been 5 Years Since The Flood Of 2012 [ PHOTO GALLERY]
It was 5 years ago that the rain started to fall and continued until there was between 7 and 9 inches in less than 24 hours. I remember driving to work thinking nothing of it until I started to see pictures of huge sink holes, big enough to swallow a whole car. It lead to days without power for some residents, the Lake Superior Zoo lost animals and Jay Cooke State Park will never be the same.

How Do I Pick A Home Food Delivery Service, Is It Worth It?
A few years ago I was enticed to go to a location and pre-make meals to freeze for the week. I found that wasn't for me because it still took a chunk of time to go make the meals. I've recently been introduced to the choice of home food delivery where you get the ingredients and recipes "mailed" to you. It's the latest trend and I want to try it, but what's the best?
UPDATE: Kudos To City Of Duluth, Fills Potholes In Record Time And Gives Number To Report Road Issues
I had planned on writing a blog to inform people in my neighborhood of road work starting in our area when I realized it was about 4-5 blocks from some huge potholes I encounter almost every day. So, I asked what it would take to get them to slide over and fill them, apparently, it just takes asking. They also gave me a number to share so you can call in your pothole issues.
