Cathy Kates

Hi y'all, thanks for checking out my bio! I grew up in the country community of Wrenshall, attended church in Carlton and worked in Cloquet. I adore and respect my family. My husband and I laugh and run together (well, I jog). My daughter is in her second year of college and keeps me young and our dog Bauer is an overactive Schnauzer. I love shoes, Asian food, and trying new recipes. My dream (at the moment) is to be on the Big Bang Theory or the Ellen Show. I have been in broadcasting for 16 years and thank you for your friendship and waking up to laugh with Ken, me and the Breakfast Club. ~Peace, Love & Hugs

Attending Family Volunteer Day Will Benefit Your Family AND The Community

Looking for a way your family can give back to the community?  My daughter Kylee and I use to ring Salvation Army red kettle bells.  Then as she got older we moved to wrapping gifts, soon we were volunteering our time at several events that helped the Second Harvest Food Bank.  It was a great learning experience as the seed to continue volunteering was planted so many years ago.  If you don't know where to start, I can help!

Did You Remember To Set Your Clocks Back An Hour For Daylight Saving Time

Did you remember to set your clocks back an hour before you went to bed last night?  I'm sure if you're like me, people will have reminded you and you STILL forgot.  Luckily we now have our smart phones and computers that update the time for us.  But, I remember a time when that wasn't the case.

Richard I. Bong Bridge Will Re-Open Friday Morning

It's something that has been a source of frustration several times this summer.  My husband and I would keep forgetting part of the Bong Bridge was closed and drive in that direction only to have to turn around (we eventually started laughing at ourselves, DUH!).  But tomorrow that frustration is over as the Bong Bridge is scheduled to re-open!
