Cathy Kates

Hi y'all, thanks for checking out my bio! I grew up in the country community of Wrenshall, attended church in Carlton and worked in Cloquet. I adore and respect my family. My husband and I laugh and run together (well, I jog). My daughter is in her second year of college and keeps me young and our dog Bauer is an overactive Schnauzer. I love shoes, Asian food, and trying new recipes. My dream (at the moment) is to be on the Big Bang Theory or the Ellen Show. I have been in broadcasting for 16 years and thank you for your friendship and waking up to laugh with Ken, me and the Breakfast Club. ~Peace, Love & Hugs

Duluth Trails Temporarily Closed Due To Our Wet Conditions

It's expected with the spring-like weather we've been experiencing.  Wet, soggy trails that are used for running, hiking and biking.  The scenery is beautiful, but the footing unsteady and to save the trail from being worn down and damaged, we need to refrain from using it until we dry up (which will hopefully be soon!)

Denfeld’s Entire Student Body Bands Together To Tell The World “It’s Always A Good” Time At Their School [Incredible Video]

A couple weeks ago I came home to a gaping hole in my basement where our treadmill use to sit.  Who would want to steal that????  I called my husband and he had informed me that Denfeld was borrowing it for a lip-synch dub video.  I had no idea why they were making or video but, after viewing the end result, I am in awe and amazed at the talent and  camaraderie of the Denfeld students.  You'll want to share this on social media!

Wine With Swine? Maybe, But BACON Candy Is Where It’s At! [DIY Mouthwatering Recipe]

I want to preface this by saying that I am NOT a wine connoisseur in any way shape or form.  Most of the wine that I would consider to pair with swine would be that of a pork tenderloin or perhaps a nice cut of pork chop.  But, NOT bacon!  However, there are a few suggestions of wine by Kendra Anderson.  What I did find interestingly yummy was the thought of bacon candy and yes, it exists and the recipe is super easy!
