Chris Allen

A little about me, I was born in Duluth. My Grandpa Irv got me started in recording, showing me reel to reel and other tricks of the trade. That's when the bug hit me. I wanted to talk on the radio. He used to play old broadcasts of Philadelphia Radio for me to listen to. I started in radio in 1996 doing overnights and eventually moved up to mornings. I enjoy music, both listening and writing it. My Favorite artists are Van Halen, Michael W. Smith, Def Leppard, Evanescense, Garth Brooks, Gary Allan, Sara Evans, Kellie Pickler, The Beatles.....ok, I could go on and on here, basically, I like good music no matter what it is. My favorite movies are, ‘The Crow’, ‘Forrest Gump’, ‘Stealing Home’, and ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’. My favorite color is Black; my fav food is mac and cheese with turkey burger in it. I am married, with two boys JJ (10) and Sam (4)

Are The Vikings Done In Minnesota?

If you were to use the magic 8 ball it would say, "All signs point to yes".

According to ProFootballTalk.com, the Vikings have issued a four page statement with the last sentence being, “This solution must be finalized in the 2011 session.”

I think owner Zigi Wilf did the best he could with Favre mach 1. That was supposed to be the Super Bowl team that would make all of Minnesota force the lawmakers to give them a new stadium.

First of all I don't want to make this article a statement of whether God exists or anyone's beliefs. I found this to be interesting enough to post it up for curiosity. It is interesting, I answered the question and it was right

Tom Brady Tells Fans to Drink Early, Pats Say He Meant Water.

Let me ask you this. If you were to tell me you were going to a Packers or Vikings football game, would you bring beverages with you to tail gate with? What would those beverages be? Yes, BEER!! So Tom Brady the New England quarterback mentioned people should get to the game early and drink a few, we knew what he meant. We don't drink no stinkin' water, we drink BEER!!

Well, Tommy Boy got in trouble and the Patriots are saying he meant drink water when he said "lube up". Yep, because it's gonna be a squelching hot 65 degrees. Enough to make anyone pass out with heat exhaustion.  We are not stupid, no self respecting football fan is going to sue, they were going to do it anyway. Here's the story.

Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson Inducted Into Songwriters Hall of Fame

I was living in Nashville, and at the Bluebird Cafe, when this nerdy guy in a George Strait look-a-like get-up sits down and talks about how much he likes George. We were not interested at that point, everyone likes George. Then he sang, nope, nothing there, sounds too much like George. So, we got up and left.

6 months or so later I was working at Tower Records when Garth's CD came out and I was putting them on the shelf. I thought he looked like the guy we walked out on, so I figured he wouldn't last long. During Fan Fair, what it used to be called, we had the chance to get Garth in live to perform with just a guitar. He was a little afraid to perform in so intimate of a setting with not much for sound gear. He came out and sang "The Dance", I thought,

Last Minute Decision Saves Sugarland

I knew when I saw the images and videos of the stage falling it was bad, then I wondered what band it was that was supposed to play and why they weren't hurt.

It came down to seconds and one instinctive decision that may have saved the lives of country duo Sugarland and others at the Indiana State Fair where five people died when a stage collapsed.
