Chris Allen

A little about me, I was born in Duluth. My Grandpa Irv got me started in recording, showing me reel to reel and other tricks of the trade. That's when the bug hit me. I wanted to talk on the radio. He used to play old broadcasts of Philadelphia Radio for me to listen to. I started in radio in 1996 doing overnights and eventually moved up to mornings. I enjoy music, both listening and writing it. My Favorite artists are Van Halen, Michael W. Smith, Def Leppard, Evanescense, Garth Brooks, Gary Allan, Sara Evans, Kellie Pickler, The Beatles.....ok, I could go on and on here, basically, I like good music no matter what it is. My favorite movies are, ‘The Crow’, ‘Forrest Gump’, ‘Stealing Home’, and ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’. My favorite color is Black; my fav food is mac and cheese with turkey burger in it. I am married, with two boys JJ (10) and Sam (4)

Chely Wright Has A New Book, Album, and Movie

Chely Wright came out two years ago to say she was gay. She was the first country star to do so. I know there are others, but country is not an easy genre to be a gay performer. The demographis always seems to show that "traditional" people buy the music. Gay artists have always struggled with any type of coming out, but country is the hardest.

One Reason Americans Are Obese

So, as I'm here chowing down on a pizza and losing my way in my new year resolution, I start combing the internet for answers, and help. I am discovering it's not a quick fix, as I'm sure everyone else does. There is no trick, no pill, and no machine that will do it for you. I come across an interesting article about how much you eat.

New Trick To Get Around Do Not Call Lists, Watch Out!

A new phone campaign called "Political Opinions of America" offers a three-question "poll," and then offers a reward that sounds suspiciously like a classic timeshare sales pitch. After answering political questions, the person is transferred to a live operator from "corporate travel services" who is giving away free cruises thanks to an anonymous donor. Some say it is a scam.

Secret Avengers Cameo Revealed

It seems that all of America has already seen the new Avengers movie. Last weekend it broke every opening record that had been previously held by Harry Potter.

Taxpayers Pay Ex Presidents Expenses

We are paying $4 million dollars to keep up the former presidents. They charge offices, paper, rides, flights....to the former pres pension. I know that's not the name, but that's what it is.

For, instance, when they go somewhere, they take a cab, they take secret service, they fly, they stay in a hotel, and we pay for it.

More Than Half Of Americans Support Gay Marriage

People's attitudes are changing. A new article says Obama may adopt legislation to make it recognized nationwide.
