Chris Allen

A little about me, I was born in Duluth. My Grandpa Irv got me started in recording, showing me reel to reel and other tricks of the trade. That's when the bug hit me. I wanted to talk on the radio. He used to play old broadcasts of Philadelphia Radio for me to listen to. I started in radio in 1996 doing overnights and eventually moved up to mornings. I enjoy music, both listening and writing it. My Favorite artists are Van Halen, Michael W. Smith, Def Leppard, Evanescense, Garth Brooks, Gary Allan, Sara Evans, Kellie Pickler, The Beatles.....ok, I could go on and on here, basically, I like good music no matter what it is. My favorite movies are, ‘The Crow’, ‘Forrest Gump’, ‘Stealing Home’, and ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’. My favorite color is Black; my fav food is mac and cheese with turkey burger in it. I am married, with two boys JJ (10) and Sam (4)

Alan Jackson Chronicles His Wife’s Fight With Cancer On New Album

Alan Jackson is like oatmeal. You know what you are going to get, but it's what you want. I think Alan wrote the best 9/11 song because it was the closest to what everyone was thinking. He does it again on his new album "Thirty Miles West". He talks about his family, his life, and shockingly reveals his true feelings about his wife's fight with cancer.

Is Texting Ruining the Art Of Conversation?

I was at a bar hosting a party one time. I always make the rounds in the hopes of meeting new people. I look down the bar and all I can see is the din of light from phones on the faces of all the people at the bar. I even went up to a couple and said, "How is your date going?". They said, "We're having fun, it's our first date". Here they were on a date, texting and not talking.

Chely Wright Has A New Book, Album, and Movie

Chely Wright came out two years ago to say she was gay. She was the first country star to do so. I know there are others, but country is not an easy genre to be a gay performer. The demographis always seems to show that "traditional" people buy the music. Gay artists have always struggled with any type of coming out, but country is the hardest.

I am discovering it's not a quick fix, as I'm sure everyone else does. There is no trick, no pill, and no machine that will do it for you. I come across an interesting article about how much you eat.
