Spring is here and I couldn't be more thrilled.  It's FINALLY starting to warm up, and the temps could be in the 60s this weekend.   So it will be wonderful to get outdoors, do some grilling, and enjoy the fresh air.   But, there's also a problem that comes with this time of year, and I think a lot of parents can relate.

Springtime means longer days.   Longer days mean it's still light out at bedtime.   That leads to little kids not understanding that it's time to sleep, and sleep schedules get messed up.   You would think that if the kid falls asleep later in the night, it will all be ok and they will just sleep in later.   THIS IS NEVER THE CASE.   They wake up even earlier, crabbier, and more unreasonable.

That's the case that's happening right now.   Our little girl has been falling asleep later and later each night.  We put her in bed at the same time, but she doesn't fall asleep for quite some time.  Then she's up at 4:30 in the morning, and ready for the day.

So, I guess if you've got a kid around that age you can probably relate.   There's not much we can do except try to get them to run around in enough fresh air that they will pass out from exhaustion.   Here's hoping!
