Awwww, look at that face!  This spunky girl is an American Staffordshire Terrier currently living at Animal Allies and hoping to find her forever home filled with love.  There are some specific things Darla's adopter should be aware of but if you're in search of a high-energy girl, she could be the one!

Every Wednesday at 8:10 Ken and I talk with Daryl Yankee from Animal Allies about the Pet of the Week and this week it's Darla the American Staffordshire Terrier.   [more adoptable pets]

Darla is just under three years old and came to the shelter as a stray.  A home without children under the age of 10 is mandatory because she has such high energy and a mouthy and jumpy behavior, plus she likes to roughhouse with other dogs.  But, if you are considering adopting her and already have a dog, you would just need a dog-to-dog introduction to see if they would be great playmates.  The cool thing about Darla is that she has already completed a month of training.  The adopter would need to be committed to continuing her training.  She's is darling, playful, loves treats and I'm sure she'd make you smile and give you a little exercise. As always, she has been spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated.
