The Minnesota DNR recently released full details on the upcoming waterfowl season, which does include a Youth Waterfowl Day.  One important detail on that day has been clarified.

According to the DNR, adults who accompany youth hunters on Youth Waterfowl Day, Saturday, Sept. 12, cannot hunt, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. This corrects a previous Aug. 10 announcement about the waterfowl seasons.

During Youth Waterfowl Day, hunters ages 15 and under may take regular season bag limits when accompanied by a non-hunting adult (18 or older). The accompanying adult may not hunt and does not need a license.

Ducks, Canada geese, mergansers, coots and moorhens may be taken from a half-hour before sunrise to 4 p.m. Motorized decoy restrictions are in effect. Five geese may be taken statewide.
