It was just a couple weeks ago that it appeared Adrian Peterson would return to the Minnesota Vikings.  Then last week, Peterson was quoted as being "uneasy" about playing once again for the team.  Now, if this report is true, it looks nearly impossible to have Adrian Peterson back in purple.

CBS Sports is reporting that last week at the NFL combine Peterson's agent and Vikings vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski got into a heated exchange during which the agent made it clear that Peterson would never play there again.  It got so bad that the two had to be separated by an official from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

If this is true, then to me it shows that Adrian Peterson's agent has the same maturity level of Peterson himself.  Adrian still doesn't think he did anything wrong and seems to forget the Vikings made sure he was paid during his suspension.  They were trying to make the most out of a bad situation that Adrian caused all by himself.

He is a running back who is about to be 30 years old in a league that devalues the position with each passing year.  Furthermore, the upcoming draft is full of top tier running back talent and the Vikings are in a position to draft the running back of their choice.

If Adrian and his agent can't grow up, I would trade him to the mess that is the Cleveland Browns, unless they can swing a deal with Dallas and then somehow sign free agent DeMarco Murray.  That is unlikely, so let him waste a year in Cleveland with Johnny Football and draft his replacement, Melvin Gordon from Wisconsin.

Here is the Peterson report from CBS Sports.
