The demolition of the Duluth News Tribune warehouse at 408 West First Street will cause a temporary road closure in downtown Duluth that you should be aware of.  This closure will allow for the continued construction of the new maurices headquarters.

Starting on Tuesday, November 25th, the far left driving lane of 1st Street West will be closed between 4th and 5th Avenue West in downtown Duluth. To be more specific, they will be working on constructing the entrance to the parking facility of the new maurices. The sidewalk will also be partially blocked on the south side of 1st Street West and there will be a loss of several metered parking spaces while the demolition occurs.

Access to the Duluth Workforce Center and other services located on First Street will be maintained. The demolition is expected to take one month to complete.

Plan to avoid that area and obey posted traffic signs.
