Yesterday was a bright sunny day perfect for Rummage sales. Trillium Services Clients and Employees gathered their gently used clothing, toys, appliances, and other things, for a rummage sale to benefit Loaves and Fishes.

Loaves and Fishes  was founded in 1989 by Steve O'Neil and Angie Miller, who opened their family home on Jefferson Street to war refugees and people experiencing homelessness.

Loaves and Fishes is a 100% community-supported project. There are no paid staff, and they don't accept government money. For more info on how you can help visit the Loaves and Fishes website.

They featured a couch and chair set, clothing, games, appliances....basically anything you could think of or need was there. You made the offer and they raised the money. I visited the sale and purchased a Star Wars puzzle for my son Sam. When I talked to them at 1pm on Saturday (their second day of the sale) they had raised $1100 dollars. All donated to the cause.

Thanks for a fun time at the sale, and thanks for taking my money....he he! By the way, Sam likes his puzzle.
