The Black Lives Matter group in Minneapolis has been getting a lot of press as of late for their protests and late Monday night things got out of hand.

StarTribune.com is reporting that at about 10:45pm on Monday night, 5 protesters were shot as Black Lives Matter were staging a police protest about a block north of the precinct station.  Apparently the protesters were being taunted by a group of men shots were fired into the protesters as they attempted to move away from men.

Police are searching for three white men who allegedly fired into the crowd and authorities are exploring whether this will be treated as a hate crime. The victims, all black men — ages 19 through 43 — were taken to hospitals with noncritical injuries, according to police.

**Update: A 23 year-old male suspect has been arrested in Bloomington.
