I absolutely LOVE award season. To me, it is better than Christmas. Oscars, Golden Globes - you name the award show, I love it. The Grammy's are my ultimate favorite though.

Nominations for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards will be announced early Tuesday morning. There aren't usually any HUGE surprises, especially in the country categories but it was an amazing year for music and that makes it a bit harder to predict who will come out on top. (If this is anything like the CMA Awards, I may do okay!)

Here are my five big predictions for tomorrow's nominations.

Miranda In The Biggest Category Of The Night

Miranda is no stranger to the Grammy's. She has 2 wins and 12 other nominations. Most are in the country categories but this year, I suspect she will sneak into the biggest category of the night - Album Of The Year. Her latest release, The Weight Of These Wings, is her most critically-acclaimed and diverse album yet. The album has already racked up several accolades and sold over a million copies. It's artistic, creative and raw - just the kind of album the Grammy's love and Miranda certainly deserves it.

Jon Pardi Scores His First Nomination - Or Two

Yes, he is my absolute favorite but that isn't why I am thinking he scores a nomination Tuesday morning. He had a HUGE year. He won two huge industry awards. He was a multiple CMA Award nominee just under a month ago. He is well-respected in the industry and has been at it a long time, just getting his huge break now. I am guessing he scores a nomination in the country categories for "Dirt On My Boots" but I wouldn't rule out another nomination for Best New Artist. There is usually one country artist in this category each year and he's one of the most successful new artists to come around.

Taylor Swift Dominates Country Categories From Her Pop Throne

Little Big Town has had many monster hits throughout the years and "Better Man" is up there with the best of them. The song, penned by Taylor Swift, was named Song Of The Year at the CMA Awards earlier this month. It is almost a lock to score a nomination come Tuesday morning, in a country category at the very least. Not only is it one of the best country songs of the year, plain and simple, but Taylor is a well-respected songwriter before anything else and a nomination may be the Grammy's way of honoring her and her return to country this year, especially because she probably won't have any nominations herself.

It Will Be A Big Night For Newbies

There were so many amazing new artists that debuted this year. Luke Combs, Brett Young, Midland and Carly Pearce are just a few country artists who have killed it on the charts with originality and catchy, heartbreaking, sad, happy and overall great tunes. I think we will see quite a few new artists scoring nominations in the country categories, perhaps even more than the veterans will snag. My money is on Luke Combs, Midland and Lauren Alaina and Kane Brown for "What Ifs." I wouldn't mind seeing any other new artists sneak in there either.

Sam Hunt's "Body" Will Be Country's Big Rep

Love it or hate it - Sam Hunt's "Body Like A Back Road" was one of the biggest songs of the year. It broke all sorts of records and stayed atop the charts for longer than any other song this year. It has been nominated for several big awards and you can't deny, it's one of the catchiest songs ever. My guess is, come Tuesday morning, the song will score at least two nominations for Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year. A nomination for Best Country song isn't out of the question, either.
