I have a stress fracture in my heel bone. (the full story) It was caused by the increase in mileage while I was training for Grandma's Half Marathon.  All it did was make it so I couldn't actual run the marathon!  It didn't slow me down though, here's just a short list of things I can still do while wearing a boot.

    Ride In A Car

Not comfortably, mind you!  But, luckily it was my left foot so I was still able to drive myself around.  However, being a passenger was much more to my liking!

    Camp (ok, RV)

There is the controversy whether one is actually "camping" if you do it in an RV.  (Ken uses photos to determine the vast differences).  But, with my boot and crutches, I am lucky that I am an RV'er and not having to wiggle around in a tent, making it much easier to camp with a boot!

    Ride A Pedal Bike

Yup, I found a way to exercise since I couldn't run.  The stress fracture is in my heel, therefore riding a bike was perfect, I could use the middle of my boot to push down on that pedal.  We had a great time on the Willard Munger Trail with our access in Hinckley.  Of course, I was listening to B105 via the Radiopup app on my IPhone!  If you don't already have it, get it and take B105 everywhere you go!

    Roll Buffalo Eggrolls (thanks, Baldy!)

Yeah, I didn't even get out of vacuuming!  Since I could do most all other housework, cooking wasn't something I could get out of.  Four batches of egg rolls later, I'm still smilin' in the boot.
