4 Reasons Why Snowmobile Racing is Better For The Spectator In The Summer
What? Snowmobile racing in the summer? Who the heck does that? Well the International Watercross Association does. And it's the latest sport to be growing in multiple states, including right here in the Northland. They modify the sleds and race on water which is exciting for the fans to watch. There's also a few other reasons it's better in the summer.
- 1
No Heavy Winter Clothes
When you watch snocross in the winter, you have heavy winter boots, thick jacket, snow pants, hat, mittens, facemask, and you still freeze your butt off. All of these people are plenty comfortable. Just apply sunscreen.

Your Beer Doesn't Freeze
If I had a dollar for everytime I had a beer freeze on me in the winter, I'd have enough to buy a case. Everybody knows a beer tastes better on a hot day.

Sinking Snowmobiles Adds A Thrill
It really does add an element of suspense for watching the races, knowing that if they go to slow, hit choppy water, or foul up a turn down they go.

Easier To Bring Your Kids To
Kids love this kind of stuff. In the winter you have to bundle them up like the Michelin man. You'll eventually lose a mitten, hat, or they'll get their tongue stuck to the bleacher. Pretty soon they are complaining that they are too cold, but the hot chocolate is too hot.
In the summer with watercross it's a whole lot easier.
