A Surrey (covered bike that seats more than one)

Wheel Fun Rental is a business in Canal Park that rents all kinds of bicycles.  A variety of single person bicycles or if you're in a group try one that seats two or four?  You'll see many of them on the Lakewalk, usually everyone is smiling and there's at least one person who is only pretending to pedal (until they get caught).

    Roller Blading

My daughter is into blading.  Me, not so much.  Often times when I go for a run, she'll blade along side me.  Duluth's Lakewalk offers the perfect setting for hours of exploration on roller blades.  If you're really into it, you might want to consider participating in the Northshore Inline Marathon.

    A Segway PT (Personal Transporter)

This is the ultimately coolest way to get around the canal while you learn about our city.  We thought it would be hard to learn, but my family and I mastered the segway in minutes thanks to our guides and Duluth Glides, and were on our way to making memories!  I would highly recommend this mode of transportation, why not try something different and something that isn't offered everywhere.

    Horse Drawn Carriage

Yes, this is a very romantic way to get around the canal, but it's not just for couples.  The horses at Bayfront Carriages are beautiful and the carriages are big enough to take your family around the city of Duluth.  Take a step back in time, sit back and relax with the staccato clip clop of horse shoes on the pavement.
