The 4 Best Kid Friendly Places In the Duluth, Superior Area [VIDEO]
With the 4th Of July holiday coming up, there are a lot of things you can do with your family in the area. However, where are good places to bring the kids on those ordinary days not full of carnival, parades and cookouts?
Here are 4 of my favorite places in the Northland to bring my family:
- 1
Baseball Fields to Play Ball, Not Just Watch
While going to watch a baseball game is enjoyable, there is something fun and special about watching your kids learn to play the game. Little Leagues across the area need to keep going, so why not have your kids play?
While there are games going on, it's a great chance for both kids and parents to meet up with friends and make new ones.
I realize that soccer is big as well, but kids can play both as most seasons don't overlap.

The Lakewalk In Duluth
The Lakewalk is a great place to bring the family and you can do it without spending a dime, although you may need to bring some ice cream money to be safe.
The kids get exercise, fresh air and can stop along the way to do things like skip rocks into Lake Superior.
Next time you go, bring your bikes and go on a family bike ride to go even further than you might on foot.

Vertical Endeavors in Canal Park
If you want to have a fun time and watch your kids experience feelings of accomplishment, take them to Vertical Endeavors in Canal Park. This indoor facility is available year-round and is a fun challenge for all ages and all climbing levels.
Over the years, I've had fun watching my kids go from only climbing a few steps up to surprising me and themselves by hitting new heights.
The staff is helpful and friendly and once your kids feel comfortable, they'll want to keep going back to challenge themselves.

Brighton Beach, Duluth
Amazing views of Lake Superior, places to skip rocks and play, and plenty of grills and picnic tables.
Brighton Beach in Duluth is a great place to bring the family to each, play and just enjoy the day together. Remember to bring a jacket as it can get suddenly chilly with a wind change.
