If you are planning on some outdoor fun to close out the week, be forewarned that the  Minnesota Department of Health has placed a no water contact advisory for 3 beaches on Park Point in Duluth.

KBJR-TV is reporting that the following beaches tested for elevated E. coli levels, which could be from fecal contamination:

  • 20th Street / Hearding Island Canal Beach located on the harbor-side of Park Point, at 20th Street.
  • Sky Harbor Parking Lot Beach located on the harbor-side of Park Point in Duluth, at the end of Minnesota Avenue.
  • Minnesota Point Harborside / 15th Street Beach located on the harbor-side of Park Point in Duluth at 15th Street.

The beaches in question are set to be tested again sometime Thursday.  Contact the Minnesota Department of Health if you come into contact with the water at these beaches and become ill.
