Did you happen to buy a Powerball ticket in the Twin Cities yesterday? Check your numbers, because the Minnesota State Lottery is saying a ticket with Wednesday's winning numbers was  purchased in Dakota County. This means that somebody has won the $228.9 million dollar prize that comes along with it.

The winner has one year from the date of ticket purchase to claim their prize, and after confirming the ticket, the lucky individual(s) has 60 days to decide how they would like to receive their prize. The Minnesota Lottery website breaks down the options:

[The winner may] choose the annuity payment of $228.9 million or the cash option of $123.6 million ($83.7 million after tax withholding). The annual payment of the 30-year annuity increases by 4 percent each year. The first payment (before taxes) is estimated to be $4 million, with an estimated payment of $12.7 million in year 30. (A final payment schedule will be determined after the annuity is actually purchased.)

The winner(s) will receive the first payment about two weeks after the ticket is redeemed at Lottery headquarters in Roseville.

If you have the winning ticket, the Lottery Office recommends putting the ticket in a safe place and call their offices at (651) 635-8271 to arrange confirmation.

The winning numbers are: 11-18-36-41-46 and the Powerball is 38.
