2015 Grandma’s Marathon Needs More Volunteers
You may have been a spectator for Grandma's Marathon, which can be a lot of fun, but why not get closer to the action by becoming a volunteer for the big day, which is coming up in less than a month?
Grandma's Marathon says that there are still about 500 volunteer positions remaining for the June 18-20 Grandma’s Marathon weekend. Volunteer positions include areas such as traffic and spectator control, water station assistance, medical services, racecourse entertainment, race packet pick-up and finish area activities.
Service organizations, large groups and individuals are all welcome and encouraged to participate. Each volunteer receives an official 2015 T-shirt, refreshment tickets and an invitation to the Grandma’s Marathon volunteer party on Sunday, June 28 at Grandma’s Sports Garden.
To volunteer, email your contact info, number of volunteers in your group, and T-shirt sizes to firstname.lastname@example.org by June 5. Volunteers may pick up their supplies in the Activity Lot in Canal Park on Wednesday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Make sure to look for B105 welcoming Gloriana to Canal Park June 19th and introducing the entertainment on race day!
