Two scoops of Florida Georgia Line, a pinch of Taylor Swift and heaps of rock-inspired country music turned performances at the 2013 CMA Awards into one surprise after another.

FGL and Luke Bryan opened the show, before both returned later to sing separately. Kacey Musgraves was censored, and Eric Church was on the verge of crowd surfing before his new cut to commercial break.

Swift's softer acoustic performance of 'Red' was one of highlight performances of the night Wednesday (Nov. 6). Hunter Hayes' duet with Jason Mraz and Keith Urban's collaboration with Miranda Lambert were memorable. Later, Alan Jackson was part of a brilliant tribute to George Jones.
