13-Year-Old Boy Pulled From Lake Superior Passes Away

I was hoping that when I updated the story of the young man who was submerged in Lake Superior for 32 minutes Monday, it would be to report of his miraculous recovery.  Sadly, that is not the case.

Our partners at the Northlands News Center are reporting that 13 year old Jeffrey Carlos Watson died at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis Tuesday at 3:49 p.m. after he was transported from St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.  Carlos was swimming at a popular place for young people just off the lake walk in Canal Park.  The Ice House, or The Cribs as it is called, has no life guard and authorities have warned people of the dangers of swimming there.
